NAVY LEAGUE DANCE

Ship’s Company Entertained

The ship’s company of H.MS. Tiger was entertained at a dance held by the Canterbury branch of the Navy League at H.MN.Z.S. Pegasus on Tuesday evening. About 150 petty officers and ratings attended. Their partners were members of the Junior Navy League and representatives of other junior organisations in the city. Naval flags draped round the hall, bowls of spring flowers and potted plants provided a colourful decorative theme. Members of the dance comrnitee included Mesdames G. G. Simpson (convener). C. W. Collins, W. J. Mac Gibbon, R. Raffell, K B. Smith, H. D. Clarkson, J. R. Vincent. Miss M. Harris, Captain J. N. Allen, Messrs A. R. Mackay, M. Newman and W. Cunningham.
