FOREST AND BIRD SOCIETY
More than 280 members of the Christchurch branch of the Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand, visited Mr I. Macintosh's property. Glenafric station. Waipara, on a field trip on Saturday. Members walked along the beach and followed the stream bed up to the homestead. Birdlife seen during
thi day included bellbirds, tuis, kingfishers, grey warblers and riflemen. At the end of the walk Mr E. G. Turbott gave a talk on the wildlife seen during the day.
