Nine member* of th* Canterbury Cocker Spaniel Club attended the first championship show held by the Otago Cocker Spaniel Club in Dunedin. Mr* N. Baker’s and Mis* M. Baker * Silver Bell* of Inverloeh wa* ■warded beat in the show, and W. J. Heslop’a and Mr* Heslop * ■niewall Splc an’ Span runnerup to best in show. Canterbury placing* were:— Solid Dog.—T. H. Hodge’* Rossmount Sport. 2 first*. 2 third*; T. H. Hodge * Rosemount Seilor Boy. 2 firsts, best solid dog; I. Lspslle’s and Mr* Lapslie's Black King of Huxley. 1 third. Solid Bitch —Mr* N. and Mia* M. Barker’s Ktllln of Nutcombe. 1 second; T. Mackie-Adamson'* Glorious Twelfth of Inverloch. 2 firsts: T. Mackie-Adamson’s Mis* Judy of Inverloch, 1 first; W. J. Heslop’l and Mr* Heslop • Spic an’ Span. 3 firsts. 1 second, best whole bitch, runner-up u> best in show: Mr* D. Sutton'* Red Fan of Inverloch. 1 first, 2 second*.
Broken Dog.—T. H. Hodge's Rossmount Marksman, 3 thirds: Mr* M. and Mis* M. Barker * Bill Cody of Inverloch. 2 first*. 2 second*, reserve best puppy: Mrs M. and Mis* M. Collinwood's Rawhide. 2 seconds. 2 thirds; Mis* J. Willin’* Gunwa Statesman. 2 firsts, 1 third; Mis* J. Wiffin’s Highlight of Seabury, 3 first*. 1 second, reserve challenge.
