TANNER CUP PROSPECT
yVITH C. Boulton, last ’' year’s representative, now sailing a Junior Cherub class yacht, Canterbury’s hopes in the inter-provincial seven-footer contest for the Tanner Cup will rest on a newcomer. The most likely prospect is E. Agnew, of Mount Pleasant, who was runner-up to Boulton in the three principal provincial championship events in Canterbury last season. Agnew, who is aged 13, is a third former at Papanui High School. He is now in his third year of competitive sailing. The illustration shows him ait the helm of his boat. Revenge, as he beats to wind-

held at Lyttelton at the beginning of December; and the Tanner Cup race serie* will be sailed at Napier in mid-January.
