THE PRESIDENT of the Western Football Club, Mr J. Smith, receiving the Hurley Shield from Mr E. H. Williams, secretary of the Canterbury Football at the association’s annual trophy presentation this week- In winning the premier division competition for the Hurley Shield this season, Western claimed the trophy for the tenth time in 11 seasons, the Technical club having won this trophy in 1961.
