Attacks On Women

Sir,—May I again advise all women and girts to carry a stout old-fashioned hat-pin when walking or cycling alone? There’is not a better weapon with which to tear a man’s face and hands and, with luck, put out an eye. No punishment is too severe for these cowardly beasts prowling to attack helplesfi old women, girls, and children in New Zealand.—Yours, etc. BE ON GUARD. , October 12, 1962.
