C. Courtice). The unit is engaged in studies on acquired immunity and on mechanisms involved in the responses and interactions of cells. Previous experience in these fields is not considered essential. Some experience in protein chemistry and in the isolation and characterisation of macromolecules would be an

advantage. The salary range for Research Fellows is £ A 1656-2450; initial salary depends on qualifications and experience. Appointment is for three years with possible extension to a maximum of five years. Superannuation is on the F.S.S.U. pattern.
