Ban On Skit With God As Negro

'N .Z.P.A-Reuler—Copyright) LONDON, Oct 11

An American satirical revue now appearing in London has been forbidden to perform a skit in which God was portrayed as a negro, according to the “Daily Mail.” The skit, at the Comedy Theatre, showed the prosegregationist Governor of a Southern American State dying and going to heaven where he finds a coloured God. the news agency said.

The Lord Chamberlain, watchdog of Britain’s stage morals, banned the skit, but not before it had been shown in two performances.
