Lamb Slightly Easier (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. October 12. New Zealand lamb in the 29-361 b range eased slightly at Smithfield this week, according to cabled advice received by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. Pitchings of New Zealand lamb were light and there was a good inquiry for increased supplies of Homekilled lamb. New Zealand hoggets fetched 15d to 171 d per pound (down Jd). wether 12d to 16d (unchanged', and ewes lOd to 13d (down id). 1 Prices for New Zealand meat, i ex hooks Smithfield, in the week I ended October 12. with the variation since the previous week, are quoted as follows: Canterbury Lamb d Var'n. per lb d per lb i First Quality— Under 281 b .. 27J-28 n.c. 29-361 b . . 25 -26 —1 I 37-421 b .. 21J-22 n.c. Business Personal Mr E. C. Hazlett, deputychairman of Ross and Glendining, Ltd., and Mr C. J. Wood, a director, have both decided not to seek re-elec-tion to the company's board Mr Hazlett has been a director of the company since 1928 and deputy-chairman since 1958. Mr Wood has been a director since 1956.
