SICK WOMAN TRAVELLER

Exhaustion From

Journey

(A’.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Oct. 11

Forty-five minutes after arriving in Wellington by air from England, Mrs R. W. Morris, of London, was rushed in an ambulance to Wellington Hospital. She had been ill since she left New Delhi, and her condition alarmed officials at Wellington Airport when her aircraft arrived from Sydney at 3 p.m. yesterday. Five hours later she was discharged. The trouble was travel exhaustion and air sickness. This morning, Mr and Mrs Morris flew to Blenheim to stay with Mrs Morris’s sister, Mrs A. Davies. They had not seen one another since Mrs Davies came to New Zealand 13 years ago.

Today Mrs Morris was making a quick recovery. Mr Morris said he had achieved a lifelong ambition, although he had to travel 13,000 miles to do so. It was the first time he had dashed through a city in an ambulance with its siren wailing.
