Carol Burgess, of New Zealand, won the international and Australian women’s 440 yards speed championship final, with another New Zealander, Sue Leydon. second. In the international dance competition. New Zealand's entry. A. McLeod and Denlce Dopson. were placed third to two American couples. A. Wacker and Linda Omottlce and P. Beohm and Pamela Cornwall.

In the second hockey test. Australia beat New Zealand. 3-1.
