Next Conference. The Catholic Women’s League of New Zealand will hold its next national conference in Wellington during the first week in October next year. The conference decided to continue meeting annually. Travel Club.—An address about experiences in the London Police Force was given by Mr J. H. Jeffery at the Canterbury Travel Club's morning tea meeting yesterday. Vocal items were given by Mrs Cara Cogswell, accompanied by Mrs Mabel Mason. The speaker and artists were thanked by Mrs A- M. Vile. Mrs A. Benzie welcomed members and guests, who included Mrs J. Cranko (Bangkok), Mesdamea L. S'. Bond and F. R. Foote (Auckland), Mrs A. Horn (Marton) and Miss M. McElraiith, of the Dunedin Travel Club.

* Canterbury North WJ9.F.F. —An all-day meeting of the Canterbury North Provincial executive of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers was held recently at Leithfield Beach. About 170 delegates and friends attended from 14 branches. A talk on the Associated Countrywomen of the World was given by Mrs L. G. Cooper, who said that the “perwies-for-fri endship” scheme realised £l5OO a year for funds. Handwork Display.—A display of handwork depicting four stages in a woman’s life will be held at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show, according to a report from the executive committee of the North Canterbury Federation of Country Women’s Institutes. More articles of handwork were still urgently required, the report says. Y.W.CJL. Travel Club.—A talk on Russia, accompanied by slides, was given by Miss M. Nimmo at a recent meeting of the Young Women's Christian Association Travel dub. Miss Mary Grant presided.
