CHANGES AT LINCOLN

Centralisation Of Research

The moving of buildings to clear the mixed cropping farm at Lincoln College and to bring together on one site the research facilities of the college is part of a development programme outlined by the principal (Dr. M. M. Burns) in his report to the college council. Three buildings formerly on the mixed cropping unit have already been transferred to a site on the research farm, to which the meteorological station will soon be moved. Dr. Burns said that the maintenance staff would soon start on a series of jobs to increase the staff accommodation and teaching facilities for 1963. The major work would be the development of the small animals house for biochemistry teaching and research.
