Mr L. H. I. Watson, general manager of the Northern Building Society, has been appointed to the council of the International Union of Building Societies. It is the first time a New Zealand delegate has held this office. Mr S. Milne, of the Royal Exchange Assurance Corporation, Ims retired after 45 years’ service with that office. A presentation was made to Mr Milne at a farewell function arranged in hie honour.
