Welcome From The President
As the president of the Rangiora Businessmen’s Association, I wish to welcome all the visitors who will be thronging Rangiora for our townwide sale week from October 12 to 19 and the carnival entertainment at Labour week-end. Shopping in Rangiora is a pleasure. In our shops yon will find a range of goods equal to the best anywhere. .If you are looking for a bargain or a “special or two” or planning some Christmas buying before the rush starts—well, Rangiora is the place to come, right now. You will meet pleasant persons behind our counters. They know how to smile, courtesy is natural
to them, and they are willing to see that you get the best from your shopping.
And what is more, you will have no parking worries. Parking is free. Within five minutes or less of the shopping area there is space for a thousand cars, plus spacious off-street parking provided by private enterprise and the borough council.
Ranglora has other advantages, too.-For young persons, or a family man wanting to set up a home, costs are comparatively low. Sections on the sewer and water are available around £473 to £550. Building costs are competitive and rates about £l6 to £2O a year. The town has all the amenities and recreations of a city and yet, a run of half an hour or less by ear will take you to
beaches, riven, hills, and forest, with their delightful picnic spots and scope for sport. Other attractions coming up shortly in Rangiora Include the two-day race meeting, the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s show, and an air pageant, all at Labour weekend, while the popular festivity week entertainments will be presented early in December. We think Ranglora is a good place in which io live, with a first-class shopping centre. A cordial welcome is extended to you to enjoy the carnival shopping and the entertainments that follow. K. A. DA VID 8 ON, President.
