ABDUCTION CHARGE
Four Accused Remanded (IfX. Pmt AMoetation) MASTERTON, Oct 10. Four parsons appeared in the Msetsrton Court before Mr 3. F. Keane. SM, on charges of uhUnvduHy taking a child from the custody of its guardian. They pleaded not guilty and wore remanded to October 16 for the taking of depositions.,' Sergeant It Moncur appeared for the police, and Mr C. P. Bayliss, on behalf of Mr R. Stacey, for the accused—Joyce Elizabeth Scahlll, aged 18, married, of Petone; her hueband. Rumen Leoley Basil ScahiU, aged 2S. driver, of Petone; Douglas Toros Byers, aged SO, taxi' proprietor, of Petone; and Ramon Trevor Turner, aged! 32, driver, of Wellington. I Sergeent Moncur said that the case arose from the removal of a child, Graham Barr, aged one year, from the custody of Noeline Alice. Stowell, of Masterton, on the evening of September 22.
