Rugby ALL BLACK TOUR
Aucklanders’ Prospects (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Oct. 1. *nie Auckland Rugby selector, Mr F. Alien, will have no hesitation in naming 18 erf his successful Ranfurly Shield squad for next season’s national trials and will be surprised if-at least 10 or 11 Aucklanders are not included in the team to tour the British Isles and France. "If we can go through another season like this one. Auckland should dominate New Zealand Rugby next season," he said. "Even seme of our reserves have played football this season up to international standard and they’ll be better yet." There are two factors supporting Mr Alien’s faith in the future of Auckland Rugby. Not one of his team has indicated any intention of retiring and Mr Allen has committed himself to being available if the Auckland union wants him. as long as Auckland retained the Shield.
