CONFERENCE AT BURNHAM
140 Army Officers Attend One ‘ hundred and forty officers of the Regular and Territorial forces of the NewZealand Army are attending the three-day conference of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Corps which began yesterday afternoon at Burnham Camp. The conference, the first since 1959. will given infantry officers from all over New Zealand an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in infantry organisation and equipment and to study the role cf an infantry battalion in a limited war in South-east Asia. The Chief of the General Staff <Major-General L. W. Thornton) will visit the conference today. Among observers are Major-General Sir William Gentry. Brigadiers A. H. Andrews. J. T. Burrows. I. T. Galloway, and T. B Morten, as well as British. Australian and United States military representatives.
