Scotland, New Zealand In Soccer Cup Final
The New Zealand-born and Scottish-born teams should fight out an entertaining final for the L. A. Goldsmith Cup, when the international tournament ends at English Park today. Scotland has never won this trophy. New Zealand will be fielding a particularly strong team, in spite of the absence through injury of its captain P Rennell. All 11 members have all played for Canterbury, nine of them in the current season Scotland will field five provincial representatives. Indications are that New Zealand could be suspect in attack. as only the right wing, R. Bruce, will be playing in his club position. The Boys’ High

Poidevln, will make a belated reappearance in big football as a member of the England team in the curtain-raiser against Holland to decide the holder of the wooden spoon. Le Poidevin gave up soccer this winter in favour of training for athletics. However, he played three matches for his club, City, in mid-season when that team was threatened by relegation.
