Welding Institute's Competition

Science plays a prominent part in deciding the quality of entries in the annual competition held by the New Zealand Institute of Welding. The work of entrants in the recent competition was subjected to radiographic examination and tensile and hydraulic pressure tests. The Andrews and Beaven cup for arc welding was won by E. K. Stephens, and the Sherlock and Cotton cup for gas welding was won by C. A. B. Stevenson.
