Yachting Strong At Timaru

VACHTING in Canterbury 1 appears to be well placed /or a good season, and indications are that the Timaru club in particular is in a strong position. That •club's programme for the season includes 47 club races, and ail active members can look forward to racing in about 40 of those each. The Timaru Yacht Club's active fleet consists of 15

Idlealongs, seven R Class, six Takapunas, five Taurangas, three Frostply and six others (including multi hulls). The club’s committee has recently altered its programme so that the Christchurch yachtsmen could compete in Waitaki weekend events, and so that Timaru members could take part in the major Canterbury trophy contests.
