Shift Soon At Lyttelton

At present being renovated for use as railways offices at Lyttelton is the former Harbour Board building on the corner of Oxford street and Norwich quay, just beside the beginning of the new elevated roadway.

The present railways offices are in a wood building near the station. The building is thought to be about 100 years old and is much the worse for wear When renovation of the Harbour Board building is completed the wooden offices will be demolished The former Harbour Board building is a brick two-storey building. It ts hoped the move from the old building will be completed by Christmas. Work on the new station for Lyttelton is expec’ed to begin some time next month.
