DEATH IN GERMANY

Woman Of The Stigmata

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BONN, Sept. 18.

Germany’s miracle woman of the Stigmata, Therese Neumann, died today, aged 64. Every Easter for the last 36 years she had apparently gone through the agonies of Christ on the Cross. Tens of thousands saw with their own eyes what appeared to be blood streaming from wounds similar to those of the Curcifixion, the Associated Press reported.

She became known as thi “miracle of Konnersreuth,” the tiny Bavarian village where she lived. She died apparently from a heart ailment.

Last Link Broken. — Sandy, a 16-year-old draught, the last of the horses to work in the Millerton mine, died at Granity on Friday night, and to the’ mining community of Millerton and Stockton the test links with the old days has now gone.—(P.A.)
