Five Escapers Remanded

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 19. Tired and bedraggled, the five 17-year-old escapers from the Waipiata youth centre appeased before Mr J. D. Willis, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Dunedin today, charged with escaping from lawful custody. The five—John Lawrence Ogden, Charlie Rakauere Leaf, Repere Hunuhunu. Kimberley Robinson, and John Edward Te Rangi—were remanded in custody until Friday on the application of Senior-Sergeant R. M. Schwass.
