South British Insurance shares, which rose 6d on Monday, rose a further Is 6d in Auckland yesterday to sell at 60s. The tone of the market for Australian shares was firmer, and and turn-overs rose sharply. New Zealand shares were again unsteady, with rather more falls than rises.
