Timaru Bull Purchase “The Press" Special Service DANNEVIRKE, Sept. 19. A Timaru bull was tne subject of a call from the United States to the national Aberdeen Angus sale and show at Dannevirke saleyards yesterday. The leading American stud cattle authority. Mr Ed. Fowler, called from his home in Indiana to check whether a bull he had seen at Mr Robin Eraser's Mud when he was in New Zealand six weeks ago had been purchased on his behalf It had been bought a . few minutes before the telephone call for Mr Fowier by Dalgety and New Zealand Loan. Lid s stud stock officer, Mr Jack Evans, of Palmerston North, for 1400 guineas Mr Fowler is acting as agent for undisclosed American interests Mr Evans eatd the bull was considered particularly suitable for American conditions by Mr Fowier when he visited the Timaru stud a few weeks ago. Mr Fowier will be bock in New Zealand In the autumn to purchase Aberdeen Angus females.
