Sabotage Warning
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) ALGIERS, Sept. 19. The Algerian Political Bureau warned the people last night of a “devil’s plan” to sabotage tomorrow’s elections for the first national parliament. The Bureau, led by Mr Mohammed ben Bella, said after an emergency conference that Willaya IV had tried to sabotage the elections in the Blida and Orleansville areas. Officers there were preaching abstention backed by the threat of tommy-guns, the Bureau said. Delegations from the Algiers region, which is under the control of Willaya IV had come to the capital seeking aid to "end the iron reign” of Willaya IV officers. The Bureau’s SecretaryGeneral, Mr Mohammed Khider, will broadcast today, sources close to the Bureau reported, in virtually the opening and closing of the election campaign. So far it has been limited to leaflets and minor meetings in the provinces. Mr ben Bella hand-picked the candidates, who will be unopposed
