A 1944 LANCASTER FLIES THE ATLANTIC.—A Lancaster Mark 10 of the Royal Canadian Air Force lands at Cottesmore, Rutland, Royal Air Force Station, after flying from Newfoundland to take part in a Battle of Britain display. The aircraft, built in Canada in 1944, is probably one of the oldest planes to have flown the Atlantic.
