The former lead to B.E. (Electrical) degree and the latter to M.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons.) degrees In Physics and Radio Physics. The science degrees are acceptable for the examination part of the Associate Membership qualification of the Institution of Electrical Engineers. These qualifications provide efficient avenues for students aspiring to professional careers in radio, telephone, telegraph and electrical engineering. The bursaries are open to pupils leaving post-primary schools and also to undergraduates who have completed parts or all of the Intermediate, the First, or the Second Professional examinations of the Bachelor of Engineering degree or parts of the Bachelor of Science degree. Higher School Certificate is the preferred minimum standard for applicants, although those with University Entrance will be considered. Post-graduate study Is considered in special cases. Bursars will receive:— Subsistence allowance: living at home, first and second years. £150; third and fourth years. £2OO.
