New Week-end Tour

A new variation on the week-end at the Hermitage tour run by the Government Tourist Bureau, started last Friday. Called the Mount Cook and Ben mo re Project Week-end, it allows tourists to have a look round Benmore on the way home. As with the parent tour, the bus leaves Cathedral square on Friday at 5.30 p.m. and arrives at Mount Cook six hours later. Saturday is spent .there. On Sunday after breakfast visitors leave for the conducted tour of the Benmore hydro scheme, where they stay for lunch. The bus is due back in Christchurch at 6 p m.
