CAULFIELD ACCEPTORS
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Sept. 18. There were no surprise withdrawals today when first acceptances were taken for the Caulfield Cup, to be sun on Saturday, October 20. There are 150 horses left In the race, which is 13 more than the total number of first acceptors last year. The limit on the Caulfield Cup field is 20. Final acceptances will be declared at 3 p m. N.Z. time on October 16. Last night there were 231 horses left in the Caulfield Cup but today the V A T.C. received a total of 104 scratchings from local, Sydney, Adelaide and New Zealand owners.
