West Coast Kauris

Kauri seedlings were planted at Inangahua Junction and Karamea in 1960 to provide small groves of trees which may become of special interest to visitors. The best height growth of the young trees so far is six feet. They have changed colour from bronze to green as their surrounding shelter has closed.
