Congratulations For Mr Walsh A motion congratulating toe president of the Federation of Labour (Mr F. P. L. Langley) The motion also said it was recognised the action was taken to protect the interests of New Zealand seamen The meeting also passed a motion congratulating the national executive of the F O L. on the handling of the fertiliser dispute, and endorsing its action on building up a fund for the benefit of workers taking similar action. The council opposed the oroposed amendments to the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, and passed a motion urging toe national executive of toe FO L. to take all necessary steps to oppose the amendments.
