Auckland Team For Shield
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. August 28. The Auckland Rugby selector (Mr F. R. Allen) has named M. A Herewini to play at first five-eighths in the Ranfurly Shield match against Waikato on Saturday, although A. H Cbrke is available. The team selected is:— M. C. M. Cormack: M. J Dick, P F. Little, R. Patterson or D W. McKay; P. T Walsh. M. A. Herewini; D. M. Connor; L. W. Fell; R. H. Graham, B. E. Thomas, A. Pryor, W. J Nathan; H. L. White, F. Colthurst, W. J. Whineray. Reserves: B. Williams, A. H. Clarke, A. A. T. Edgar, R. Rangi, J. Manlapoto, M. C. Reid. S. Sapich, K. Dewes, A N. Dick.
