LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS

Roll Available For Checking The city electoral roll is now on display at four tables in the central ci*y f'ea so electors can check that their names are included on the roll for the local body elections on October 13. Two of the tables are in Cathedral square, one in Armagh street and one in Cashel street, east cf Golomb-' rtreet: and a mobile booth will tour the suburb-n areas, covering a different area each day Ratepayers are entered on the roll autcmoticslly, but those entitled tn vote by residential qualification are not. All British subjects over the age of 21 who have lived in New Zealand for one year and in Christchurch for three months before the elections sire entitled to be on the roll. The supplementary roll will close on September 14.
