Tennis TOURNEY AT MIAMI

N.Z. Invited Again (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 28 New Zealand will be invited again to compete in the Miami Orange Bowl tennis tournament and cup matches next season . A letter from’ the organiser. Mr E. Herr, was tabled at tonight’s meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association saying that he had received "unofficial" advice that New Zealand would be invited again on the same basis as last season. This means that the United States State Department is responsible for the return air fares for the two junior boys and the Miami organisers provide all the hospitality. The chairman. Mr F. S. Ramsin. said: "We have only one answer; it is a gift from the gods. "All we can say is thank you very much and we wish to avail ourselves of the opportunity." The Orange tourney is from December 23 to 29 and the cup matches for nations from December 30 to January 4.
