Century Of Points

The young Linwood centre, P. Jellyman, reached 105 points for the season when he kicked two penalties and a conversion in his first senior appearance for Linwood against University on Saturday. Jellyman has scored more than 600 points in the last four seasons. He is a gifted kicker, and a reliable team man. He had been playing with the under-20 grade until Saturday. Another to reach a century of points on Saturday was a younger player—Rex Mitchell, of the Christchurch under sst 71b B team. Before Saturday’s game, he had scored 91 points for his team. On Saturday three tries brought him neatly to a century.
