SCHOOLGIRLS’ TOURNEY
Ashburton Among Unbeaten Teams (N.Z. Press Association) GORE. August 21. Four teams remained unbeaten after the first two rounds in the South Island secondary schoolgirls hockey tournament which began at Gore today. They are Umaru High School, Ashburton Technical, Gore A and Gore B. Results were:— First Round.—Tlmaru 3. Darfield 0; Queen’s High (Dunedin) I. Christchurch 0; Ashburton Technical 3. James Hargest (In. vercarglll) 0: Linwood 2, Ashburton High 0; Gore A 7, Rangiora 0; Gore B 1, Sacred Heart (Tlmaru) 0. Second Round.—Christchurch 3, Darfield 2: Ashburton Technical 1, Queen's High 0; Tlmaru 11. James Hargest 0: Gore A 7, Ashburton High 0: Gore B 1. Linwood 0; Rangiora 2, Sacred Heart 0.
