Pulp Books
Sir, —Congratulations to the Rev. L. N. Morris. Many New Zealanders hope that men like Mr Morris will carry on an unrelenting crusade for a return to moral decency in this country and what better method than attacking and cleaning out the tons of cheap, horrible trash imported and lapped up by the young and feeble-minded? Do our schools teach the very wonderful world of good books—books that inspire and hot debase? May I draw attention to the reviews in “The Press’’—books like Major Hayter’s in Saturday’s issue, for example.—Yours, etc., ST. ALBANS. August 20, 1962.
