Reed Venture In Norway
The £2 5m pulp and paper mill, built on the shores of Oslo Fjord by the Reed Paper Group, of London, and its Norwegian partners. Sande Tresliperi A S, Is now fully in production. Paper production started last week, while pulp has been produced since last December. The mill is the only integrated semi-chemical pulp and paper mill in Norway to make fluting paper tor corrugated cases from hardwoods Previously these woods—mostly birch and asnen—had little commercial value in Norway. Paper production will short, ly be at the rate of 30000 tons a year It will be marketed in the United Kingdom and throughout Western Europe.
