INDIA BIDS FOR 1966 EVENT

NEW DELHI. August 18. India had suggested that the 1966 Commonwealth Games should be held in New Delhi. India’s Education Minister. Dr. K. L. Shrlmali. said yesterday. He said the president of the Indian Olympic Association had accordingly made an offer—with Government approval—to the British Empire and Commonwealth Games Federation.
