WATT RETURNS TO TEAM
Buller Match Tomorrow The return of the All Black five-eighths, B. A. Watt, after an injury and the playing of his fellow New Zealand representative R. C. Moreton, at centre three-quarters, are features of the Canterbury Rugby team to play Buller at Rugby Park tomorrow. Watt injured an ankle in the Town v Country game on June 27 and suffered a recurrence of the injury in the South Canterbury match at Timaru a month later. He reappeared for the Christchurch club's senior team tn a knock-out match on Saturday. The Canterbury backs* selector (Mr P. B. Vincent) has placed Watt at second fiveeighths. outside A. F. Orme, and moved Moreton out to centre. In the forwards D Young and T. H. Moynihan return to the side in place of J. N. Creighton and H. C. Burry, who played against Otago on Saturday. Sixty thousand spectators have paid about £7200 to see the first three Ranfurly Shield challenges at Eden Park. The estimated crowd and gate-takings for the North Auckland match on Saturday were 27.000 and £3OOO.
