Airdrop At Chathams

WELLINGTON. Aug. 16. Mail and urgently-needed spare parts for the Chatham Islands school bus were dropped by a R.N Z.A.F Sunderland aircraft today. The aircraft arrived over a paddock target adjacent to the radio station just after 2 p.m. and was away again 10 minutes later. The drop by three parachutes was made in a strong south-west wind.
