JOURNALIST WINS BARDIC CHAIR.—Mr Caradog Prichard, a 57-year-old sub-editor on the London “Daily Telegraph,” photographed during the chairing ceremony at the National Eisteddfod of Hales, at Llanelly. He received the high award for a 98-line poem. He is being chaired by bards wearing robes of green and blue. When his name was announced as the winning poet, Mr Prichard stood up from the crowd and was escorted to the stage in a purple robe. He then took his seat in the throne of oak.
