PREVIEW OF THE N.Z. INDUSTRIES FAIR 1962 INDUSTRIES FAIR OPENS
7 p.m. TOMORROW Wide Selection Of Exhibits Time for the New Zealand Industries Fair has come around again and this year it is being held for the second time in Canterbury Court most modern Exhibition Hall in this country at Addington Showgrounds. Many old established industries, who have not taken part in the Industries Fair for some years are back again, as well as many of newly established industries. In Canterbury Court there is 26,000 sq. ft. of floor area and in No. 2 Court there is 34,000 sq. ft. The Courts are linked by a covered walkway so this gives more than 60,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space under cover. Working displays are always popular, and there are many outstanding working displays this year. You will see machines working in the same way as in a factory with operators and technicians standing by to explain what is going on. Manufacturing is making great strides all the time and New Zealand manufacturers are keeping pace with every new development. Main aim of the Industries Fair is to show you how these latest developments are being used by New Zealand’s up-to-the-minute industries. Home handymen will be able to see the latest in all kinds of “do it yourself.” If you are a farmer you will see the way New Zealand industries are helping you to do a better job. If you are a housewife you will be interested in the latest trends in the kitchen equipment and also get the chance of watching somebody else cooking for a change. With more than 140 exhibits, there is something for everybody at this year’s Fair.
