Wade, Holders Hill cres., London, N.W.4, England. 7949 ' ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTIFICATION OF WEIGHT LIMITS AND SPEED LIMIT FOR BRIDGE WHEREAS it is provided by regulations 9 (1) and (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955. that no person stall operate on or over any bridge which Is under the control of a controlling authority any heavy motor vehicle which exceeds the weight limits or shall cause any heavy motor vehicle to pass over any such bridge at a speed in excess of the speed limit for the time being in force and fixed with respect to that bridge pursuant to the said regulations. Notification is hereby given that the Ellesmere County Council, being the controlling authority in respect of the ISllesmere Bridge, situated on the Llncoln-Leenton Main Highway, in the Ellesmere County, has fixed as from August 3, 1959, the following weight limits and speed limit for heavy motor vehicles using the said bridge, that is to say: The maximum weight of any such heavy motor vehicle and its load shall not exceed ten tons: The maximum portion of the weight of any such heavy motor vehicle and its load (including any equipment or accessories) transmitted to the road surface by the tyre or tyres which are] attached to the wheel or wheels | on any one axle shall not exceed six tons: i The maximum speed at which | afiy such heavy motor vehicle j may pass over the bridge shall not exceed ten miles an hour. Attention is called to regulation 17 of the said regulations, which fixes a penalty of £5O for each offence against the regulations. P.
