The management committee of the Canterbury Football Association decided last night that, in view of the state of the ground at English Park, the New Zealand Universities k Canterbury match would be transferred to Ham Park tomorrow. The chairman (Mr J. Smith) said that if the Univereities-Can-terbury match was played at English Park, and there was further rain on Friday, then the association's Saturday afternoon matches would have to be transferred. "There is still a lot of water on the embankment side of half-way,’* be said, “but the conditions at Ham are ixcellent” * Permission was grafted to the tollowing dubs...to play fixtures other th*n competition matches on. the'-:dates stated:—Watersiders’ Club to play Westport at Westport on September 29: Rarigsrs to play Greymouth Unfted al Christchurch On August 26; Caversham (senior and fourth grade A) to play Shamrock at Christchurch on September 8.
