Hearing Of Appeals This Month

Appeals by the New Zealand Taxi Proprietors’ Federation against the granting of 'additional taxi licences for the Christchurch metropolitan area will be heard by the Transport Licensing Appeal Authority (Judge Archer) on August 28. The Christchurch Metropolitan Licensing Authority granted 25 new licences, 15 of them immediately. The appeal authority will also hear an appeal by 15 individuals against the refusal of' licences.
