Indoor Basketball University Wins Close Game
Universtiy A, which had played two games earlier in the day, beat Y Boys in an exciting game in the Canterbury Men’s Basketball Association's competition matches at the Cowles Stadium last night. University drew ahead only in the final stages, to win by four points. The match between Boys’ Gordon Hal’ B and Wigram A was postponed.
Results W-. A Grade.—University A 39, Y Boys A 35; Boys’ Gordon Hall A 29. Rex A 14; University B 39. Rex B 14.
B Grade.—Deaf Boys 36. Boys’ Gordon Hall C 29; N.A.C. A 25. Rex C 10; Jaycees A 37, Bumsco 10; Rangiora A 19 Wigram B 19; Bank of N.S.W, beat University D by default.
