Estimates of more than £73 million were passed by the House of Representatives yesterday after a day-long discussion. The estimates approved (with the amounts actually spent in the previous year in parthenesis) were as follows:
Social security (contribution to fund), £37,500,000 (£38,100,000).
Social security (medical, hospital and other benefits), £25.000.000 (£22.970.936).
Department of Health, £11.200,000 (£9,627,394). The House adjourned at 10.45 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. today.
